Dr. Karin Wettig

practices music since her age 5. She started with flute, then accordeon, later piano and organ. After her dissertation in musicology about the Renaissance Composer, Carlo Gesualdo, principe da Venosa's Vocal Music, she suffered from a voice loss during her divorce and ended up in healing her broken voice with opera singing. She studied opera singing in private with Maria Francesca de Cavazza, James Anderson, Peter Rabben & Anna Reynolds. After a masterclass Ann Reynolds inspired her to write her book about Italian Belcanto Technique - Sanger ABC - Belcanto, singen kann doch jeder!  Then she wrote a second book with practical exercises for every day for every singer. 12 Vocal Basics for Body & Voice

Some years later she published her insights from singer's classes she taught in Munich under the title - singing like Callas and Caruso - which is now also available in English language. Her recommendation to everybody is to sing daily at least 10 minutes to keep oneself fit and in good humour.
